I’m not a surgeon, so never. I’ve been in an operating theatre while an operation was going on … once.

I don’t get to do the surgery myself, but I get to go down and help the surgeon sometimes if he is wanting to do some work with light. In a study we are putting together, we are going to use laser light and fluorescence to help the surgeon detect brain cancer so he can remove as much of the tumour as possible – so the surgeon will be doing the cutting and I will be taking readings from the laser

Don’t get to do any surgery because I am not a surgeon but I have been able to see quite a bit of surgery- my favourite was open heart surgery which was amazing!

I never do surgery on anyone as I am not medically trained. I attend theatre ~once/month and only operate a laptop. I occasionally help moving patients or passing things to people.
