There is such a large number of things that can be diagnosed i.e. strange genetic vascular abnormalities, thoracic outlet syndrome, subclavian steal. The more unusual things we see may require extra imaging and tests to investigate these things further. On ultrasound we can sometimes get incidental findings- for example a few weeks ago I found a large sarcoma when scanning them for a DVT but to diagnose this I made sure I got another specialist to confirm this. It is important work within your area of specialism and expertise and to accept we can’t diagnose or know everything.
