Question: Apparently Magnetic Resonance Global Coherent Free Precession is another non-invasive technique to assess blood flow, What is it and how does it work?
I will be honest and don’t really know much about this and how it works. It is a new technique that has been used mainly in research. It allows to look at blood flow without the use of contrast- that we currently need to look at blood flow in CT. Contrast isn’t great for the body especially for people with bad kidneys. It would also make it non-invasive so again better for the patient. I have yet to hear about this being used in any hospital in the UK currently though.
