• Question: Don't you feel sad when you fail to cure someone and has anyone in your family ever had cancer?

      Well, usually I only see a patient’s CT scan (x-ray slices) and their prescription from the Dr. Occasionally I might see the actual patient if they need someone from physics to check on them during treatment. After that we don’t hear anything else, because that’s not our job. The doctors we work with will know more about how well the patients do after we treat them.
      Fortunately noone in my close family has had cancer – I’m hoping I have good genes! But the bigger effects will be me not smoking, keeping a healthy weight, not too much alcohol and plenty of exercise. I know many other people who have had cancer though.
