I work with quite a lot of people, usually in different areas in different projects, like brain surgeons, physicists, dermatologists an engineers.

This is actually a really tricky question as I have two workplaces: there’s a company (which has about 100 people) and a university (which has thousands). In terms of people I actually deal with at work, I work closely with 2 or 3 other people, and sometimes with 10-15 people at each end.

I think there’s about 30 in my department (radiotherapy physics) – scientists, technologists and 2 admin staff. I probably need to interact with about half of these each week at work (but I say hello and have a chat with the others I don’t closely work with too!) We also work closely with about 15 consultants (Drs who specialise in treating cancer with radiotherapy) and lots of radiographers (the ones who use the linear accelerators to treat the patients with radiation). I also work with nurses and theatre staff when I go to the operating theatre (~once/month). We also have links with the rest of medical physics too.

I have two supervisors which I work with closely. Apart from that, there are a few other PhD students which are doing similar projects to me so about 7 people all together.
