• Question: I know that the traditional ways of detecting cancer are Biopsy, Endoscopy, Diagnostic imaging and blood tests but would you mind explaining to me the new ways of detecting cancer that you are working on?

      Hi Katie,
I’m working on a new sort of imaging technology. We use thermal emissions from your body to find cancers – I can’t really tell you more than that, because we’re currently applying for a patent to protect our idea. Current imaging technologies like CT, PET and MRI are expensive and can only be used in hospital, but I’m trying to build something that is small, portable and cheap enough to be used in doctors surgeries and clinics, so we can scan people at an early stage and decide whether or not they need to go into hospital for a more detailed examination.

      Does that answer your question?
