      I think science is such an broad term, and includes so many disciplines which are all important. To say that one particular aspect represents science more than another I think misses the point that science is really about applying the scientific method to any kind of research – that is an evidence based approach to research, where you test a hypothesis and develop theories and are open to criticism and new ideas. So I think in that regard any work that follows the scientific method contributes just as much to science as any.

      Science is everywhere and all around us and involves so many things. I think both of them topics represent science equally.

      Science covers an unending number of really diverse topics. I wouldn’t want to have science without either oncology or astronomy.
