Newton’s theories. Isaac Newton lived about 300 years ago and he found out the basic rules of physics, about how things move about and work. At the very big and very small ends of the scale, his work has now been superseded by relativity and quantum mechanics, but it still holds true for most things in every day life. We can invent all sorts of other things on top but at a fundamental level, the way they work comes down to Newton’s laws.
