Hopefully as a registered clinical scientist, and still doing medical physics research. I want to keep my passion for what I do, and part of that is sharing science with people like yourselves, so hopefully I’ll be doing a lot of outreach events too and helping to inspire the next generation of scientists 🙂

I’ve got an ‘appraisal’ meeting with my boss on Monday, where he’s going to ask me exactly the same question. I’d better not reveal it here, just in case he’s reading this 😉

In ten years I’d like to still be at the cutting edge, working on new science and technology in electromagnetics and in medicine, using what I know to make the world a better place.

Hopefully I will have passed all my exams andbecome a registered clinical scientist, an accredited vascular scientist and been involved in more vascular research. I hope to have introduces and implemented an exercise programme for patients suffering with arterial disease and seen the positive effects. Again like Paul I would still like to be getting involved in STEM/outreach events to help promote science to the wider population.

I suspect I will be working full time in the NHS in the UK possibly somewhere less suburban than Southampton. Or we could be in Canada/New Zealand/Australia for a while. I guess it may depend whether/where our kids go to uni. I would like to be doing more research than I am now.
